What to do with our case studies for maximum utility later

To consider: 

    • Pre-published case study presentations – format?
    • Interactive session notes capture
    • Multiparty Twitter feed

Behind the case study story, here is a proposal of “features” we need to identify, in order to be able to build up an enriched knowledge about co-creation/co-creative processes, which runs across all the case studies. it’s about the topical bits and pieces, within each case study, that we will be able to pull out and combine and consolidate :

  • Sector/field
  • Initial geography (where the co-creation initiative started)
  • Application geography (where the co-creation process applied)
  • Issues to be solved
  • Objectives set for the co-creation case
  • Map of stakholders involved
  • Roles of stakeholders
  • Role of a leader, or a leading team, if any
  • “Materialisation” of co-creation : events, meetings, facilitation sessions, co-developped content, joint actions…
  • Technology involved (mobile phones….)
  • Social networks used
  • Knowledge sharing processes used during the co-creation process
  • Methodology : how did co-creation materialize in the information gathering process, in the analysis process, in the diagnosis process, in the recommendation design process, in the implementation plan, in the measurement plan
  • Content created
  • Impact measurement
  • Difficulties met
  • Steps taken ahead of co-creation which made co-creation possible or enrich the co-creation process
  • Key words used to define the co-creative process itself
  • Key words used to define the environment you need to allow a co-creative process
  • Timeframe : how long did it take between the idea and its implementation
  • Is it a one shot initiative ? an ongoing initiative ? 

To do: 

1. review list of bits/pieces – make it more comprehensive
2. create some structure in the list
3. based on structured list of items, create a template to send in advance to case study authors
ask them to include as much as they can – they might find some parts difficult, that’s interesting too
features behind the story.

ALTERNATIVES to having presenters write to the template:

- interview them w/template prior to the event; influence their case study but let them present however they want

- during case study presentation at the event, ask a number of people to listen with an ear that identifies these issues ie, help the author of the case studies to come up with the knowledge behind the case study co-creatively

NOTE TAKING

Nathalie’s thought: note taking – we all collect an important part of the event by taking personal notes. Is there a way to share them in a way that they become a collective knowledge object
raw material that can be used to extract extra knowledge created during the event
idea: after each hour of discussion take a brief “break” to ask people to record the salient ideas

then: how do we re-use it and enrich it 

how we re-use it comes from extracting from the database & analyzing
need to think about how to integrate content that comes from the event – tags?
